Ministers

The marriage ceremony – the reason you are here. This is the part of your wedding that will be in your hearts, and on your video, forever. It has to be perfect. Many couples come to maui for their wedding without a lot of friends and family. Therefore a meaningful ceremony, performed by someone you feel good about is especially important. We take great pride in matching each couple with the perfect officiate. We work with ordained ministers of different denominations and licensed state officiates.
We take great pride in matching each couple with the perfect officiate.
We can provide officiates that speak Hawaiian, Spanish, German, and Japanese. Jewish officiates are available as well. We can also provide information about getting married in a Catholic church on Maui. Couples are always welcome to write their own vows, and/or incorporate anything into their ceremony that makes it more personal and meaningful to them. We can send you copies of ceremonies of the officiates we work with most often. Below are some of our most selected officiates. All of our officiates are accustomed to performing vow renewal ceremonies as well as weddings. The lei exchange is a very common part of ceremonies in the islands, and is used by almost all officiates.
Kimo Kirkman
Licensed Hawaii State Officiate
Kimo is one of our most requested officiates. His sincerity and sense of humor relaxes everyone and brings a feeling of joy and reverence to his ceremonies. He opens every marriage celebration with the blowing of the ‘pu’ (conch shell), the ‘oli’ (Hawaiian chant) and closes with a Hawaiian prayer. He performs religious or non-religious weddings or vow renewals and is open to accommodate your personal style.
Juddee Kawaiola
Licensed Hawaii State Officiate
Juddee loves being a part of wedding celebrations, vow renewals and commitment ceremonies, and it shows. Juddee always contacts her couples personally well in advance of their ceremony to get to know them, and to make sure each couple has the opportunity to customize their ceremony so it is unique and meaningful to them. Each couple she marries feels like she will be a part of their lives forever.
Reverend Ernest Puaa
Licensed Hawaii State Officiate and Ordained Minister
Ernest brings his love of God and deep faith to every ceremony. His ceremony is from the heart and he truly feels like he is doing God’s work as he joins a couple in holy matrimony. His reverent presence and jolly nature compliment his beautiful ceremonies perfectly. Reverend Ernest is also deeply entrenched in his Hawaiian heritage and incorporates his love for it, and his island home in his heart felt ceremonies. He begins each ceremony with blowing the pu, and a chant, according to Hawaiian protocol.
Reverend Lewanna Godinez
Licensed Hawaii State Officiate
Lewanna has been an ordained non denominational minister for over 25 years. Her “Contemporary” ceremony is spiritual without being religious, and incorporates the meaning of ‘Aloha’, and how it applies to the marriage agreement. She also offers a traditional Christian ceremony, and a Formal ceremony that includes the family and friends for larger ceremonies. Rev. Lewanna’s calm presence and spiritual nature, along with her humorous spontaneity make her one of our couples’ favorite officiates. She also chants and can offer a blessing or prayer in Hawaiian.
